[INFO] writing to flash directly

How-to write phone-flash directly on phone:
- download and unpack to phone-card: mtdtools
- telnet or eKonsole as root
- unlock flash: #flash_unlock /dev/mtd
- write flash: #dd if=/mmc/mmca1/file.bin of=/dev/mtd
- lock flash: #flash_lock /dev/mtd 0 0 (use valid lenght and offset)

WARNING! This is extremely dangerous hack, do not use it, think twice!

but i dont understand wat this hack does ?
will it flash the phone witout a PC n RSD support ?
n wats the script to use eKonsole as root ?

This is unlock flash-memory, write or erase arbitrary flash-region (mtd).
It flash without PC or RSD, directly on phone.
eKonsole runs under root without something else.

If you want to try, use safe region /dev/mtd11 (boot logo).

oh my ! u mean to say it can flash the phone to a new FW witout PC or RSD support uh ?????? i'm excited to know about such a possibility if wat i understand is right !
but rest of the things about how to execute the hack is goin few inches above my head

can u make it more simpler wit the script part ? i'm confused as u have mentioned two ways of doin it..one in ur first post of this topic n the other just above this !
n wat does using valid length n offset mean?

Yes, it can flash the phone, but not a completely FW, only separately CG in series. But! I will never try to write CGs like mtd0-4 (blob, mbm etc. ), just only safe sections.
So, I don't recommend to try to do this, without completely understand what this does, but if you want to try this, use safe mtd devices, which don't affect on system or boot process.
