Default Updating FW

After trying out a few of the FWs, I've decided to make my own. Actually, to take what I like in other FWs and update Amin's EE, cause to me, that FW seems to be the most stable. Amin you are the greatest!!

Here is my progress;

Extracted the following FWs: Amin's EE(EE), Captivus C2(C2), A1600 port(A1600).

Modification made in Amin's EE:
-2 dark themes from C2 to EE and made default theme 3 in C2 as default 1 in EE.
-made Mfan's theme as default theme 3
-replaced calender file from A1600 to cramfs-root-CG43\usr\SYSqtapp\calendar in EE
**Will this update the calender in home screen to show the next event like in C2?
-replaced mediaeditor folder from A1600 to cramfs-root-CG43\usr\SYSqtapp in EE
-deleted mediaeditor folder in cramfs-root-CG34 in EE
-compared the sysregistry file in A1600 with EE and found the registry to mediaeditor to be exactly the same in both
**Will that update the old mediaeditor to the new one?

Stumped on:
-How to change default alarm clock to foxalarm, or is that even possible?
-How to implement expanded flip closed menu from C2 to EE, where do I look?

Please help me to make my first fw as good as all the ones out there, mucho Thanks in advance!

No body? What if I just remove the alarm folder and replace it with foxalarm, copy the file registry from a working registry and paste it into the sysregistry file. Then insert the foxalarm.cfg and also replace the default alarmlib.so with the one from foxalarm...would that work? I think in theory it would, to my knowledge anyway.

Default Flip closed menu located!!

The flip closed menu is located in the windowserver in CG43 (thanks Amin!!) I just copy the whole folder and tested it with EE. By doing so, you will not only get the expanded flip closed menu, but also the updated flip closed RP screen.

I also managed to update the image editor and foxalarm to run as the default alarm, but not on the same fw trial run. Foxalarm still is in chinese, can anyone give me a tip as to how this thing install when manually installed? FoxE6/droopy??

In order to get foxalarm and the new image editor within the code group size, I choose to remove the opera folder. Since most people who does use the internet on the ming uses an after market program anyway. But I THINK by removing the opera folder, it also removes the message panel on the home screen(press it, nothing happens). I tried it twice without the opera folder in CG43, and both times it gives me the same problem. Can anyone confirm that for me, or tell me what else I can delete to allow more room for modding without exceeding the code group size?

Default SOOOO frustrating!

It seems like the more trials I run on this fw I'm building, the more worst/unstable it gets. Here is my progress:

1st trial: changed default alarm folder with foxalarm, media editor replaced with the new media editor. Calendar replaced with calendar from Captivus. Removed Opera folder to allow foxalarm and media editor to fit inside the code group size. Sysregistry been changed to reflect the absent of opera(browser) and for foxalarm and mediaeditor. (all lib and .cfg been replaced other than calendar, which I forgot)
Results: foxalarm worked, but in chinese and can not save settings. Messaging tab does not work, nor do the updated media editor launch. Everything else seems fine. Calendar seems to work, but I think it's still in the default version due to the absent of the lib and .cfg.

2nd trial: replaced windows server folder from Captivus, changed default notepad to editor. s80autoon been replaced from EE2. Everything else modded the same as in 1st trial. (made sure all lib and .cfg been replaced)

Results: Messaging tab still does not work. Foxalarm does not launch, but media editor works flawlessly. editor does not launch, nor do the calendar. Directories made onto the MMC as directed by the s80autoon folder. Expanded list in the flip closed menu. Noticed boot up wav to be replaced with default ring tone(the tone that you hear on your headset when you are connected to some one) even though all sound file in the phone folder in CG34 kept to the default as EE.

3rd trial: everything the same as in 2nd trial, with the absent of notepad modification. volumetable.cfg been modded, I personally found the volume too loud. Opera folder still in place BUT opera exe file been removed(hoping to resolved the problem with missing message tab). Also voicenote, print manager, dynamicidle, email folder, and other sounds been removed to allow the new CG43 to fit to it's original file size.

Result: same ring tone is heard at boot up. NONE of the tabs on the home screen works. foxalarm nor does the calendar load(open through a backup file I had which had short cuts on the home screen). files created as according to s80autoon instruction on the MMC. Noticed loading time from splash to home screen took a really long time to load. Battery level shows 0% even though it's on a full charge. Phone shows the antenna is on, but the connection bar shows zero bars and network name not shown. Did not try to place a call to the phone to see if it work(due to frustration, immediately flashed back to EE). Did not test to see if the volume been fixed to my personal preference.

Would any like to help me out?
