Dear All,
I'm avattarr, new to this forum. Located in Jakarta, Indonesia
My girl has just given me her used A1200. She bought it back in 2006 from Motorola Indonesia Authorize dealer and never been serviced or flashed.
After several threads reading in this forum, I noted that my firmware is unusual. The detail is as follow:

Phone: A1200 Orginal w/o Edge

Firmware:

Could somebody advise me which firmwares are suitable for my A1200 upgrade?

There is also thing bugging me, my A1200 default browser would say " network error" while try to browse. But, when I use OperaMini 4.1 the it works fine with the same gprs/wap setting. The POP3 mail setting is also working fine with this setting.
Just when I try to download files/application with OperaMini, it redirect the download to Default Browser then the download won't start.

The Edge seem edit is also not working to my phone (the area is covered by Edge). I've followed the instruction with the sim card in and sim card out.

working fine/advantages: 3 days battery standby, SmartAssistant, them/skins/logos install, realplayer songlist maximum item, mystuff, operamini 4.1. , only 2 USB function (mass Storage & Modem)
not working/disadvantages: ZMPlayer, default browser won't connect

Hi¡ your FW is on the h2 track, you can flash your phone with another h2 or upgrade to c2 track; if u choose upgrade to c2 track i recommend this fw: Amin's elite extreme (until amin finish the release III of his Persian Gulf LP).

(all bugs listed solved with this Monsterpack)

i would recommend you to jump to c2 track as it has several benefits over h2 track....once u are on c2 track you cannot jump back to your h2 track...but thats not needed also try 24p or any amin's monster pack...i would recomment extreme elite but u can also taste the new PGE edition from amin....its little buggy but better GUI...lol

Thanks to DarkAvenger & rachit2588.

I've flashed my A1200 with Amin's EE, everythings as "advertised" but there's something bugging:

1. my original email program won't retrieve gmail pop3, previously no problem with my .03p FW. the setting also the same.
2. my default browser won't connect, while opera can connect. when downloading files with opera, it keeps redirecting to my dafault browser, thus the download never succeed.

I've checked the ezx_email.cfg & ezx_connection.cfg and found out that the setting still on Chinese.

Can somebody give me hints???
