| I got this error when I try to compile CG43_new.smg:
ERROR: New CramFS file doesn't fit to codegroup.
It most certainly won't work. Exiting.
What does it mean, and how can I solve this?? User Information Current Phone: Motorola a1200 Firmware: Amin EE Location: London, Ontario, Canada | | | | Linux Geek

may be you exed the size of original CG43.
I remember thath the size of a codegroup you edit may be the same or inferior original. If the size is minor (you delete some files) after compiling with ezxcodec the size begin like the original. User Information Current Phone: a1200i Firmware: WhiteMING1 Location: italy | | | | MotoFans MODR

| Is there anyway to allow a bigger file? If not, anything in the CG43 that can be deleted? Say...Opera? since most ppl uses a different default browser, and that file size is 4.18MB. Removing that will give me a lot more option, I guess my question is would removing that complicates other operations.

| Im assuming that if you compile the firmware in Linux, you can increase the file size - not tested, but on the assumption that in linux, you probably wont have to build your firmware in comparison to another firmware; rather, u'd just pack it up, so to speak

| So basically, if I want to say update the mediaeditor, I have to jump over to Linux(never used before). And say if I remove the opera folder in CG43, would that complicate other operations? Since most ppl uses other browser, like opera mini4 or ucweb User Information Current Phone: Motorola a1200 Firmware: Amin EE Location: London, Ontario, Canada | | | | MotoFans MODR

| Thanks marcolnx, I removed the opera file and it compiled fine!! Now I'm on a beta trial on my first fw. Just a question, I'm debating on making pixcall to be a pre-installed app on my fw...but would you know how I can make it run without using a startup file on the mmc? | hi @all
@fsjon
regarding your question i'm no so expert, but i thinks you have to put the application in \cramfs-root-CG34\preloadapps\qtapps with ezxcodec.
After i thinks you have to add the application in SysRegistry in \cramfs-root-CG34\preloadapps but i don't know regarding AppID =
Remember i only suppose I never tryed try this...
You can download amin's extre elite fw, open and extract with ezxcodec and investigate.

| Yes, I'll try that Marcolnx and report. I'll just use the AppID from a working mmc version I have in my mmc's card registry. Have you noticed there is 2 sysregistry file? One in CG43/usr/SYSqtapp and one in CG34/preloadapps? User Information Current Phone: Motorola a1200 Firmware: Amin EE Location: London, Ontario, Canada | | | | Linux Geek

| Yes, but regarding amin's extreme elite i seen thath the folder in \cramfs-root-CG43\usr\SYSqtapp\am (SysRegistry) don't add all application thath are in \cramfs-root-CG34\preloadapps like Assistan so i thinks thath may be only add your application in \cramfs-root-CG34\preloadapps (SysRegistry)
