Arrow Firmware_R532C2_G_11.30.32P_Pack including flashing software and drivers

Firmware_R532C2_G_11.30.32P_Pack including flashing software and drivers (no need to download another software for flashing)

32p - Released May 2007 (R532C2_g_11.30.30P). Both ChinaMobile branded and debranded XP (A1200r_R532C2_G_11.30.30P_OENT_XP.sbf) versions available to download. Following are pros/cons of OENT XP version:
Summary
• 5 USB modes - Modem, Mass Storage, USB Net, Media Sync and Web Camera
• Battery Life - AVERAGE
• Speed - Faster boot speed
• Camera Quality - average. Has additional low light option for taking pictures at night.
• Camera Photo Autosave option - Yes
• Voice Response accuracy - POOR; does not work very well.
• Volume - good; volume fix applied; also improved sound quality
• Camera Quality - improved over the 24xp; Has additional low light option for taking pictures at night.
• Internet Connectivity speed - faster WAP speed
• All 4 shortcuts changeable on home screen - Yes
• Languages - English and Chinese (Pinyin and Zhuyin boards)
Advantages:
Has all the advantages of 25p - but appears to be more stable.
• Camera - has "silent" option
• Skin - "Windows XP" skin (oent xp version only)
• Run multiple java apps at same time - Yes (only fw on C2 track that can do this)
• Superman - installed (oent xp version only)
• MPKG - can install
• Edge - no, but can be enabled with seem edit
Disadvantages:
• Default Language is not English ( Can be change from settings )
• Realplayer - no equalizer

• Turning on the tower information causes a text msg to be sent to you every minute containing the name of the tower - rather than displaying it on the screen (can be fixed by------->massage---->option(left bottem)------>service setup----->Info Service----->Service----->off)

Before Start read this thread........

How to Flash your Phone
IMPORTANT - before you begin flashing:
• Make sure your battery is fully charged before beginning a flash
• Back up your contacts and files using Motorola Phone Tools before doing any flashing as flashing will delete all of these and return your phone to a “vanilla” state. Data on your SD card is not touched.
• Give yourself plenty of time to complete the flashing and BE PATIENT. Sometimes it appears as nothing is happening and the % completed indicator does not change - but in my experience it can sometimes take up to 5 min before the % value changes (especially around 97-99%) - so wait at least 30 minutes before deciding it is stuck. Never disconnect your phone or turn off your PC until the flashing is finished or you may make it unusable (i.e. "brick" it!!). There are ways to recover using a tool called radiocom (described in the threads) - but they are fairly complex.
Source Files
• Links to all the firmware files can found in the Links to A1200 Firmwares sticky.
• All the different versions of RSDLite can be downloaded from this thread.
• The latest Motorola drivers (if you need them) can be obtained from this thread.
Instructions
1. Download the file motpcsdrivers.rar to your PC and unrar it to your desktop so you can easily find it.
2. Install a program called "RSDLite" on your PC (some users prefer version 2.7 - but I used 2.8 with no issues. There is also versions 3.2 and 3.3 which some users have successfully used). For trouble free installation, if you are running Windows XP, you should have Service Pack 2 installed.
3. Download the firmware (sbf) file that you want to flash to and unrar it to your desktop.
4. Start up RSDLite on your PC. You may be asked to install a number of drivers (5 or 6) to your PC. Point it in the direction to the motpcsdrivers folder you unrared.
5. Put the phone in Bootloader Mode - MBM mode by doing the following:
(i) hold down the voice record button (bottom button on the right hand side).
(ii) Next, PRESS and HOLD the joystick down (make sure you are still holding the record button down),
(iii) Finally, just click the power button...just one gentle click...the screen should go red (MBM mode). Let go of the buttons.
6. Plug phone in using usb cable.
7. RSDLite should list the phone (this may take a minute or so. If it does not close down RSDLite and restart it).
8. Start the flash process, by clicking the button on the top with the ”…” and select the firmware file to install then click “Start”.
The process will take up to 10 minutes so be patient, the screen on you phone will turn off, but RSDLite will still show progress. BE PATIENT - sometime the % complete indicator may not change for up to 3-5 minutes.
9. When the "Found New Hardware" screen pops up, select “NO” for “Can Windows connect to Windows Update?” then select “Y” for “Install Software from a specific location” and point it to the motpcsdrivers folder you unrared. Once the driver has installed, click on “Finish” on the “Found New Hardware wizard” to continue the process.( During this step sometimes RSD Lite shows process failed..........again follow step 4 to 8, on the next time that will not happen)
[A popup may appears stating that Microsoft has not certified this software - just click on Continue]
10. You will need to install quite a few drivers – so just keep repeating.
11. It may ask you to manually restart the phone – if so, unplug the cable from PC, remove the battery for 5 seconds (make sure unplugged first!), put battery back in then turn phone back on (before plugging back into PC).
12. Once its fully on, go to Setup --> USB Mode and change mode from "Mass Storage" to "Modem".
13. Plug phone back into the PC using the cable. RSDLite should say "complete" or “PASS”
14. Unplug the phone again, turn it off and on. All should be complete.
You can now restore all your contacts, calendar and tasks back to your phone using MPT. (Be sure to remove the SIM card before doing this as the recovery function from MPT deletes any contact on SIM for some reason!)

All the software motpcsdrivers.rar, RSDLite 4.1 and Firmware_R532C2_G_11.30.32P are in this pack.....

Hi nikkiddl - I am a little unclear what you have posted here!

You have the title R532C2_G_11.30.32P - but you posted the pros/cons for 30P - was that a mistake?

There are also several versions of 32P - is this the straight generic one - or one of the XP monsterpacks?

I think it would help people if they know which version they were installing. Which 32P monsterpack is it?

Yan0's CM branded - A1200R_32P_yan0_APBP.rar
"XP Windows" CM-debranded OENT - A1200R_CMCC_Nolock_R532C2_G_11.30.32P_OENT_XP - has alarm clock bug (Alarm 1 does not work)
"XP Windows" CM-debranded OENT version V1 - fixes bug with alarm clock. - A1200R_CMCC_Nolock_R532C2_G_11.30.32P_OENT_XP_V1

Also how does the list of pros/cons differ from what is given for that specific 32P monsterpack in the Guide to Firmware?

Has all the advantages of 25p - but appears to be more stable.

Oh well so this one must be the one today ^^, because the one I have is good, but if the 32p is better it changes everything

Does it it work with the French Keyboard and H2 standard ?

This is a C2 track. If you want to stay on H2, dont flash to this one.
