Default Anyone else have install problems?

I may well have missed something obvious - I've tried hard to read absolutely everything in the stickies four or five times and I've searched around, but I cannot get this app to install. The first download was faulty - SmartAsst claimed an irregular MPKG - but the second and third and fourth downloads all installed "successfully" but wouldn't open afterward. Tap the icon, you get the hourglass, then... nothing. Anybody know what's up? Any tips would be much appreciated - I'm still learning to tweak this thing. Sorry if it turns out to be something answered elsewhere. I didn't see anything obviously wrong... it just doesn't launch.

I love this kind of little puzzle game - I was looking for small size apps I could waste very tiny increments of time on. If I could get it working it'd be a nice addition to the phone.

Oh, and I'm running OSX, been using TextEdit to edit registry files, etc. etc., haven't messed with anything in the phone directory....

try running the application via ekonsole. that should tell you the problem.

Uhhhh. Heh. It's been a while since I got so up close and personal with Linux. But I'll get back to you when I get the console installed, and running, and see what it's got to say. In the meantime, thanks very much for the immediate advice, sorry I'm straddling the fence between idiot and newb (it'd help if my connection weren't so very slow, here......)

the most likely cause is the missing libraries.

all native games need them..

download them from here

copy them in games/lib (create the folder on your memory card)

Sorry to take so obscenely long in reply - my internet was out for about three weeks, and then I moved to the other end of the world. But you were right - I'd downloaded and installed the libraries, but given how shoddy my internet had been, I'm willing to bet the download was faulty somewhere along the line (I had to pass it through a friend first because the site's blocked by the PRC government.) Downloaded afresh I have it all working - so thanks much!
