Arrow [APP] PKG script for Volume fix (increase) for A1200

Here is a program that will increase the volume on the A1200.

This might (and should in theory) work on other firmwares. It just wanst tested. If you try this with other firmwares and it works please message me.
This was only tested with the H2 track .06p firmware.

For this program I had to slightly change the way yan0’s MKPKG installs applications.
This change will not break any current apps installed and will still install new apps.

Things needed:
Moto A1200 phone
Must have the original MPKG by yan0 already installed on the phone.
Modified mpkg.lin (in mpkg_2.rar)
volumeup.pgk (in volumeup.rar)

First download the mpkg_2.rar and the volumeup.rar.
Under “setup” change the “USB Mode” to “Storage” (or samba if you have it)
Plug the phone into the USB and go to the mass storage drive.
Go into the “.system” folder (be sure you are able to see hidden files)
Then into QTDownLoad / mpkg /
Rename the “mpkg.lin” to “mpkg.lin.bak”
Copy the new “mpkg.lin that you downloaded into .system/QTDownLoad /mpkg/ folder.

Now copy the volumeup.pgk on to your memory card.
Unplug the phone.
From menu/filemanager locate the volumeup.pgk and run it.
Restart the phone after it installs (you will hear a tone).

When the phone comes back on it will be under games in the menu.
Just run it and you will notice the sound will be louder.

Purpose of this package:
It will increase the level of the heandset and the speaker phone or for music and speaker phone.

Known issues:
When you run vulumeup it will disable the menu screen click sounds.
I have not figured out a way around that and decided not to fix it. The higher volume is better and I always turn off the click sounds anyway.

Notes:
I spent some time adjusting the volume table so it’s louder, sounds better and is not distorted. Give this a try first. Its not as loud as the one for yan0’s 53p volume fix, but you will notice a difference.

If you not happy with the volume then you can edit the config in the memory card “volumeup” directory. Read the README_FIRST.txt in the directory for more information. Be carfull not to make it to loud, you could damage your speaker.

Ok, here is the fastest way to edit the table..
Use file manager to goto the volumeup directory.
Hold down on the config file and choose "Open With" then choose notepad to edit the file. Save and re-run the volumeup program.
Remember that the louder you take it the more battery power it will use and shorten the battery life.
I know the table I use is not making a dfference in the battery power that I noticed.

If you happen to screw it up don’t worry, just delete the volumeup directory on the memory card and re-run the program. This will but it back to my original configuration.

If you want to go back to the stock configuration then just restart the phone.

How do these values work..? the higher the number the louder? or is it by db? What is it rated by? I would also like to modd this to my liking. So far im happy with the edit drfun made but im just curious how it would sound just a bit louder.

Alpha,
Im not realy sure how these values work. I only have a guess. Mybe yan0 figured out more on the values? Remeber these are not subwoofer speakers and were not designed to go very loud and could damage the speakers if you take it to loud.

For the 2.5mm jack headset and a voice call you can edit this line:
[pcap_headset_mono]
3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3

I think the dafault was 0's. I tested this and did 15's so I definitaly heard a difference.

Remember that the louder you take it the more battery power it will use and shorten the battery life.
I know the table I use is not making a dfference in the battery power.

i use the standard 2.5mm stereo headset. Can you make another script to raise that one? If not maybe i can figure it out a little.
