eBuddy multi-network mobile messenger New version released (beta) Supports MSN, Yahoo!, AIM, ICQ, Google Talk and Facebook! Works perfectly on our A1200, touchscreen compatible! (though scrolling can't be performed by "touching", you'll have to use the joystick to scroll) For info and download, visit this --> eBuddy / free download P.S.1 You'll have to configure the app's permissions in order to get it to work properly. Use Java Hacker (get here) to get it done automatically. P.S.2 Haven't tested it on E6, please someone report on this. Last edited by intermario_gr; 11-09-2008 at 08:05 PM.

What about trying MXit? It really is the only messenger app I use, and it's great! Touch screen support. Supports Jabber, MSN, ICQ, Google Talk, and it's own MXit contacts. First time users should download the E1000 version. Sign up with your number in international format. eg. my number is 083 7x9 5x9x; my country's code is +27, so sign up with 2783 7x9 5x9x. It's addictive for many and it supports many phones so once your friends are signed up; you, or they, just invite each other. It was developed in SA around 2004/2005 I think, and is still going strong. They've started making it for other platforms now, but JAVA works fantastic here. www.mxit.com - www[dot]mxit[dot]com/wap from phone browser to download. BTW, Java Hacker + scroll through permissions needed to access memory card. Last edited by Casper; 11-09-2008 at 09:44 PM.

@Casper MXit seems kinda nice though I'm definitely keeping mine (eBuddy), I am very satisfied with it. Answer me this, however.. In order to be able to chat with other online users, do they really have to be MXit registered users as well? Suppose for example that I download it, install and run it, log in to my MXit account, does the other user HAVE to have a MXit account as well? Because if it's so... that would be a huge disappointment!

well unless you already have them as contacts on MSN and you use the MSN gateway, then no. But otherwise yes, since you can't just chat to air (lol). Though I don't find it a problem, as most - if not all - of my friends use MXit (and every 2nd person I bump into). But you must invite each other first obviously. Thing is, it's easy to get and use and works on many phones, so it's generally not an issue. There are chat room facilities, but I don't use them. You can also chat with multiple friends online if you invite them to a 'multimix' session. Otherwise it's one on one. I go on and chat if I'm bored or if I wanna quickly arrange something etc (if i'm low on airtime Last edited by Casper; 11-12-2008 at 07:38 PM.
