Hi friends
I came across this app today while searching for another java...
I think this great app could gives some ideas how to create something many people here continues to search for. Create/ modify office docs.
This java app "All Format Writer" made by Tea Vui Huang creates a Open Doc Format (ODT), Microsoft Office Open XML (DOCX), China´s National Electronic Doc Format (UOF) and PDF at our choice!
And it Works...but... I cant save the file in the end. Almost forgot it works with Ming´s touchscreen!
I already tested thoroughly but i encounter an error related to where the application stores the file...already navigated to registry but there isnt nothing i can modify to make this work.
Please test it and see for yourself, i thinks its very good and gave me the idea that something (even better..say an Office suite

) could be done in MPKG...

'All-Format Writer' is a freeware Java J2ME-based application for the mobile/cellular phone. It allows you to create and send out short and simple documents on the mobile phone in various competing 'next-generation' electronic document formats. These include OpenDocument Format (ODT), Microsoft's Office Open XML (DOCX), China's national electronic document format Unified Office Format (UOF /

) and the popular Portable Document Format (PDF).
As this application writes files to the removable storage, user permission is required. On the Nokia phones, the messages prompted will be "
Allow application All-Format Writer to read user data?", followed by "
Allow application All-Format Writer to write user data?". On the Sony Ericsson phones, the messages prompted will be "
Allow application to read user data?" and "
Allow application to write user data?". Please select "Yes" in all the above instances.
Note: If you get the following message when trying to save - 'Please insert removable storage to continue', it means that it can't locate the MS / SD card in the phone (which typically should be the e: drive). Ensure that removable storage has a folder "e:\MSSEMC\Media files\other" for MS, and 'e:\Others\' for SD Cards.

P.S. Someone that has a Nokia, please test it!
Thanks
