Great app - I have been looking for something like this for quite a while that worked properly on the A1200.
This is a free version - but it nags you after about every 5 screens to click on an ad. The nag-free version costs US $20.

I thought $20 was a little steep too, but when you click on one of the ads, as it has you do, it just opens the browser.... which is easy enough to close  I havent had any luck with the translator yet either.

there is a new version 2.2.3. The old version 2.2 has a bug on internet connection, which hang on sometimes. The new one is good and very fast. Check http://lightower.org for downloading.

Installed new version - translator still hangs. Other functions work well.
Mesa - are you involved with the product? If you are, you may want to change the word displayed as it obtains the information - there is no such word as "Lookuping..."!
"Looking Up..." would be better or simply "Translating....".

I guess that it was a temporary problem with dictionary. I have not problem with it. And no others reports similar problem. Could you have a second try.
Yes, I am the developer and thank you very much for the suggestion. I have make the change and it will show up in the next version.
BTW, do you guys have a wish list. What features or new widgets do you want? I can work on them.

You should be very proud of this app - easy to use, good clean graphics, great functionality, and good performance! Whats not to love!
A widget that I personally would find useful would be a Yellow Pages feature where I can quickly look up a business based on my zip code. Not sure how feasible that is?
The only other thing I might suggest is to add an option to allow users to hide widgets that they do not use (eg I would never look up stocks). This will be more important as additional widgets get added.

Hi,
A new version 2.3 is available at http://lightower.org. Besides bug fixes, it adds dictionaries for chinese, japanese, and Slavic, and news source for Canada, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland. Moreover, you can check weather by Yahoo location ID such as SNXX0006 (Singapore), which is useful if you cannot find your city by a name search.
Hi kiwiguy, Thank you for suggestions. I will think of them. BTW, are you in U.S. or New Zealand? It is possible to provide 411 for U.S. But I am not sure for New Zealand.

I spend half my time in NY and the rest in NZ. Currently in NY.
Downloaded and installed 2.3 - the dictionary still hangs on my phone even with this version. I tried various language combinations and hangs on all of them. It goes to the Search screen and just stays there for about 2 minutes - then displays a "ConnectionNotFound error in socket - open error 110" msg.
(Although did notice you have corrected word to "Searching...")
