Hello there. I've made the utility for creating and restoring backups on your ming, where you can select things which need to be backuped.

EZX Backup 0.1

Usage: ezx_backup ACTION [-OPTIONS] [file.ezxup]
Creates and restores backups.

Actions:
  create    - make backup with OPTIONS
  restore   - restore backup with OPTIONS
  --version - show version
  --usage   - show this page

Options:
  1         - System Database (address book and others)
  2         - Alarmclock settings
  3         - Phone settings
  4         - Network profiles
  5         - GizMoto Files
  6         - Rights
  7         - Mails
  8         - Main Settings

  all       - All options from 1 to 8

Example:
  ezx_backup create  -all /mmc/mmca1/backup.ezxup
  ezx_backup create  -56  /mmc/mmca1/backup.ezxup
  ezx_backup restore -6   /mmc/mmca1/backup.ezxup

PS. Now it works only GizMoto Systems

What is this GizMoto you speak of?

Gizmoto is the project which purpose is develop expanded version of the firmware for linux-smartphones manufactured by Motorola. which allows you to perform tasks on the Smartphone that you carry on a personal computer. The emphasis is on flexibility and stability.

At the moment we work only with Motorola A1200e. However, the development is planned for other devices. It is only a matter of time and finances.

* some bugs fixed
* added "info" and "list" options

Here the source code. Application requires "date" and "busybox" software.

There can be somebody will make will make the version for not-gizmoto devices ?

Remember folks - before you try installing this it will only work on special monsterpack firmwares released by the Gizmoto project that run on the A1200E. See this link for more information about what this is all about and examples of some of their firmwares.
