I simplified the MyFavorites application, uploaded by "dellsonic" to "E6 Modifications and Hacks" in
APP: My Favorites.pkg ... Easy Access to System, Telnet & SD Card, and renamed it to MySystem.
PROS:
1) Unlike MyFavorits, MySystem doesn't copy anything onto /ezxlocal and /ezx_user directories, which have a very limited space
2) MySystem doesn't create new unwanted folders (e.g., MyFlash, MyPlaylists, etc.) in TransFlash, either.
CONS:
1) MySystem doesn't have "Telnet" for accessing the phone's memory. But, that can be accessed using "mystuff" application.
This program just creates a new folder called MySystem in the TransFlash card, and binds it to the ".system" folder (I adopted this method from section 9 of the FAQ sticky).
To install:
Just remove ".zip" from the name of the attached file, and install it as a normal pkg file.
Please note that MySystem should be unmounted before attaching the phone to PC in the Mass Storage mode. Otherwise, you have to restart the phone so that everything returns to normal.
