Arrow [APP] SoftManager - another super utility for A1200/E6

SoftManager 1.0.2 - Another Super Utility for A1200/E6

Another super utility out of China posted to Motofan.ru by DOMr that provides 5 different functions in 1. Works great on my C2 firmware.

Unfortunately the interface is in Chinese, even though the PKG contains a file called ezx_SoftManage_lang.cfg that contains the menu commands in Chinese and Vietnamese. I converted this file to English, but on the A1200 the menus stayed in Chinese - so not reading this file correctly! (Perhaps someone else can get this to work properly)

But app is very easy to use. When you run it it displays a list of all apps installed on your phone. You can select these apps via radio buttons to change them (screenshot 1).

There are 5 menu options (screenshot 2) and each option only has a Yes or No confirmation box (in English)
  1. = Install PKG programs* (screenshot 3)
  2. = Rename - renames selected Java or PKG app**
  3. = Delete - deletes selected Java or PKG app from phone
  4. = Change permissions - shows current permssions of selected app which you can change (screenshot 4)
  5. = Refresh Menu
  6. = About (in Chinese)
* To install PKG programs, navigate to where PKG file is and select it and then select Yes to install

** To rename programs, change name on second line to new name and then press "Yes"

Install instructions:
1. Download and remove .zip so called SoftManage.pkg
2. Install like any other PKG file (I installed via SmartAsst)

I admit that it does not provide anything really new, however the main reason I posted it is that it gives people one more method to try for installing PKG files - as Superman and SmartAsst do not work on a lot of firmwares - and this one might....

I will probably use it for the:
- Rename function - it is easier to use than the stand-alone Rename application which I have now uninstalled.
- PKG Delete function - faster than using the Delete function with SmartAsst.

I have no chance to open the zip file, I tried to download it several times.
May I delete with this programs applications that came with the firmware? I guess that I have an internal memory problem and want to get off some programms that I won't use.
Thank you
