ok...i have volset working now. after i downloaded your most recent version, edited the registry, and changed the volume table...I noticed a big difference in music and ringer volume. Thank You for all your help
I am glad that it is working. However, the last version of volset should work without the need to update the CardRegistry. If you liked you could restore the CardRegistry entries to "ezx" again and test if it really works.
@all
I think the best way to check whether volset is working properly is to set the very first item (i.e., loadsp_music) to "Low" (just once for test). If the volset is working o.k., the setting will make the load speaker almost silent , so that even the confirmation "ding ding" sound can be hardly heard.

Hi,
I thought it may often be the case that one just needs to reapply his/her desired settings after that phone has been restarted. So, I modified the UI, and added an extra option for just restoring previous settings without the need to enter the volset main program. This makes the usual usage of volset faster.
To Install
Just remove ".txt" from the name of the attached file, and copy it (i.e., "volset.sh") into the volset subdirectory in ".system/QTDownLoad".
Please note that this patch only works for Volset 0.5 uploaded in post #24.

Hi,
If you select "Old", it would reapply your last settings. However, please download and copy "volset.sh" once again. Because, I changed the interface slightly and, as attached pictures show, it would prompt "Would you like to restore your last setting?"; You could then choose between "yes" for restoring your last setting, or "no" for entering the main program to change the volume settings.

have you noticed that while running volset, bluetooth volume will NOT stay at max?
Hi,
Actually, I don't use a bluetooth headset and don't have one, so I can't check this. However, I noticed another bug in using volset: the exclamation mark, which reminds us of having some new messages, does not seem to work properly after applying volset. It happened a few times to me that the mark appeared immediately after restarting the phone, and I realized that I had had some new messages, which I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't restarted the phone. I was wondering if others have noticed this bug.

you know, i noticed that too but didn't realize that's what it was....my phone would just beep or buzz letting me know i'd missed an alert somewhere but i'd have to re-start to find out what it was....wierd
