Arrow [APP]: Java-adapter JAM 2.2 - utility for adding TouchScreen support to java apps

Java-adapter JAM 2.2 by Ant-ON released (updated 23.11.2007)

Many Java apps and games do not run properly on the A200 as they require you to click on the number keys to make them work. Java-adapter is an app that you run on your PC and feed JAR files into it and it will convert them for use on the A1200.

It does this by making creating a touch sensitive "keypad" on the screen that you can tap in replacement of clicking hard keys. Note - it does not actually display the keypad - you just have to learn which area on the screen corresponds to which key. It also does not work for all apps.

Edit: See Post 29 below for the Users Guide.

Here are screen shots of what the app looks like when running:

-added support Motorola with TouchScreen A1200,E6

Style 1 Style 2

JAM Support Forum - http://forum.motofan.ru/index.php?showtopic=37578&st=0

JAM old site http://ant-on.jino-net.ru/index.php?id=download

JAM new site http://jam.linuxmoto.ru/

NOTE: the keyboard did not actually appear on the screen - but the screen is touch sensitive in the areas corresponding to the numbers above - and acts like you were pressing that key.

Thanks to Anton aka Ant-ON

This will open up a lot more apps to be used on the A1200.

aksd has already done the first one - MobiExplorer - which he posted to the E6 forum but also works great on the A1200. Using this we finally have a decent way to encrypt files

Get modded MobiExplorer from here ==> APP: MobyExplorer for E6

Great program for touch screens. To simulate * & # , I used the volume up & down key. I created a new profile, A1200.ini (Map Folder) & Jam.ini .
I copied MotorolaTouch 2.ini , changing Button * from 42 to -30 (volume up) and Button # from 35 to -31 (down) to create A1200.ini .

chandu,

For touchscreen support, you must update the files from lubomyr's post #12. Choose, Motorola Touch Screen (Style 2), & 240X320. From www.getjar.com, get program KeyCodes.jar. Make a copy & try to adapt this program. Load into phone & run and if successful, you should be able to see codes 48 to 57, pressing different areas of the screen.
Keycodes.jar installed in phone returns the key codes for the buttons on the phone. A1200 codes: up=-1,down=-2,left=-3,right=-4,fire=-5,volume up=-30,vol down=-31, smartkey=-5. No codes were reported camera, vr, send & end buttons.
I was trying to find a code that would bring up the pop up keyboard when needed, but have not been successful.
