my phone work good with MVDS.exe but yahoo says "webcam not connected"

What version of yahoo! are you using? Try updating to yahoo! messenger 8.1 which is the latest version. Reinstalling yahoo! might also help.

I'm Using Yahoo! 8.1 & it works for me without a glitch.

I am also facing same prob its not working with yahoo however MVDS.exe is working , when i connect to yahoo it says webcam not conencted pls help. f/ware bints .08p (India)

Thanks Guys I got it atlast just had to reinstall yahoo messenger from Yahoo and reinstall MVDS again and it started working. thanks again but as i use it the phone get heated up. shld i continue using it even if it heats up? is it normal, in this thread earlier this has been discussed but i just wanted a confirmation again.

the JAR file is a small program that opens your phone camera to full screen, but it is not necessary to stream video.

Without the webcam java program, you will only see your phone desktop. Even if you start the camera, you will only see the buttons, but not the actual camera sreen.

I have it working on my 24P MING.

Once connected click on Motovision App in the phone to enable streaming... if it does not auto connect on MobileVision on your PC, then click the button at the right of the 192.168.16.2 address.

THEN click on the FullscrVideo java app, and enjoy.

Although you cannot end the app if not switching off to the main screen, then going to task manager on app list and selecting "End" (you can't neither switch back, the video stream collapses) YOU CAN make the fullscr vid to freeze in a frame (for example to take a snapshot of the captured video) by pressing the smart button on the left (the key between the volume up and down arrows).

It's a rather cool feature, and a fun thing to do on a webcam chat.

You CAN enable the webcam on Windows Live by going DIRECTLY to webcam settings (avoid Audio/Video settings menu)

NOTE: IT WORKS on Vista, although several messages with unsigned drivers appear, and the installer seems to halt, IT IS STILL INSTALLING, don't kill the command line installer even when it says ERROR.

At last, i have a working webcam on Vista, since my GE webcam is not supported!!
