  1. #1

    Arrow [APP] Modified 09P CG43 telnetable, startupscripts, fontswitch

    Here is a modified cg44 for A1200 (09P) and cg44 for A1200 (09P)

    Modification list is
    1. can be telnet by acmattach.lin or old telnet.pkg

    2. can be telnet by echo at+mode=13 > comX (X is comport number of motorola usb modem)

    3. can be switch font by put AMCSL.TTF and fontdef.cfg into folder "fonts" in flash memory (/ezxlocal/download/mystuff/fonts) and restart phone. and delete or move both file and restart phone to change back to normal phone font.

    4. in Rokr E6 you can telnet via command line with this cg. (can login into phone)

    5. can run startup scripts by put a *.lin into folder "startup" in flash memory and/or in card.script in flash memory 'll executed first in order of it 's name and later scripts in mmc 'll executed.

    this file is contain only CG43 or CG44 and RDL3. you can flash it with RSDLite and all you data is remain after flashing.

    Eakrin, I downloaded the file you suggested. The ZIP file contains a SBF file. Should I use this SBF file as the firmware?

    What does "not full part" mean? Please do not confuse me further. As it is, I am having a tough time since last 16 hours (without sleep) to resolve this issue. Please tell me whether what you have suggested me to download - will that suffice or not? If not, what more do I need to download?

    I hope you can understand my mental condition after working 16 hours at a stretch.

    Thanks,

    Ron

    What he means is that it is only installing certain code groups...regular firmware installs many code groups to change all kinds of things...

    If you watch RSD while youre flashing, you'll see that it will go through many code groups...

    Code groups are the individual "scripts," (for lack of a better word) that are needed for the phone to function. When someone says that a sbf is a "partial", they mean it is only installing certain code groups...not changing the WHOLE system, but adding some component to the already existing set of code in the phone.

    In this case, only the code group 44 is being modified/added. The rest of the code groups in the phone are not affected by the flash.

    So does that mean that there's problem not only with CG44 but also with some other CGs which is why the phone is not working even after flashing?

    Isn't there an easier way to overcome this problem? I mean something other than downloading a 50MB firmware (most of which, I guess, do not even support resume with download managers)?

    No...its not a problem. Youre using this for the WRONG purpose. This is simply to add some features to working phones.

    From reading the other thread you are in, I see that what you are trying to do is a FULL FLASH. Flashing this will not fix a phone that isnt booting...

    In the other thread, they are helping you with the correct flashing firmware and procedures.

    We are sorry if this confused you, but this file is NOT what you need and has NOTHING to do with the problem you are having. Please follow the other thread. This one aint gonna help ya much, Im sure.

    @msandiej

    rn5a got a double trouble from skin-hanging and power fail when flashing. 1st I suggest him to flash with my cg and telnet to correct skin problem but It got a power fail. so he need to flash with full f/w now partial cg flashing can't restore system back.

    @rn5a
    just look for 08P, 09P f/w and flash it with RSDLite. this is your only ways to do that.

    Yep...gotcha. I think it was all just a little confusing. rn5a is new to this all, I believe, so we were all messing him up. Sorry ron!
