For those functions you do not need to actually run SmartAssistant. What you do is to go to the relevant file in File Manager(eg *zip or *.tar.gz) for compressed files or *.mtf and *.lin for themes and skins and hold the stylus on them until the popup menu appears then select "Open with..."

You should that SmartAssistant has already been selected (small green icon) so just open with it and file will be uncompressed or skin/theme will be installed.

Same with *.pkg or *lin scripts - they will be run.

I have not quite figured out how the text edit works yet however. The release notes for SmartAssist say "File edit: for txt, lin, sh, cfg etc" - but txt files always opened with Text editor (so no change there) and lin, sh scripts execute - they do not open in editor!!

SmartAss associate that extensions to a binary called yan0_notes, but i'm not sure why this is not working, i tried to run it in eKonsole and i get a popup with chinese chars and an ok button, when i click okay nothing happens, it closes.

by the way... the unzip code looks okay to me, maybe the problem is in the binary of UNZIP... i will try to find out

BTW I can help you too with the spanish translation if you need more help or if you only need to translate the .sh files to work I might be able to do it miself.

iyass - is this is a question on how to use Smart Assistant? as I do not understand what you are asking. By "mouse" do you mean joystick? Can you try your question again with more detail.

Dear All,

I tried lots of time to install Smar Asst by completely overwriting the .system folder, but it simply doesn't work!!
I find the icon in the phone, but when i click on it is says "Invalid Application File, The file can not be used"

Please help what to do!!!

I have the original C2 32P firmware from Motorola (no modding done to it)

That is strange as Superman works on 32p - so I would think SmartAsst would. (This is very new fw so not much is known about it). Some suggestions:
1. Are you rebooting after install?
2. Have you installed Superman and does that work?
3. If so , maybe use its LINLOADER capability to install SmartAss using the LIN scripts instead.
