Thread: [APP] Smart Assistant - super utility

  1. Default

    Hello people

I installed the smart Assistant app and now i have a problem..

    I used the manual method.
    My firmware is : .12p

now when i run the program, i get the options: App Man, Backup, Exit. Clicking on App Man gives me: Uninstall, Run, Back. Clicking on Uninstall gives me 'switching to uninstall mode...', then 'uninstall mode activated' and then the application just crashes.

Now after doing this what i noticed was that now when i try to install java apps, i can't choose TransFlash as the Destination like i could till a few days back! Only the Phone option is there in the Destination box.

Now i can't live without my java apps on my SD card so someone please help!!!

    thanks for the quick reply.

but clicking on run doesn't solve the problem either. see the problem is that i can't install java apps (using jar files on the card or from the net). when i try to install, i.e. when i click on the jar file, i don't get an option to install in transflash.

    can anyone help?

ps: how does the uninstall mod work anyways?

When you put SmartAsst in uninstall mode, it allows you to uninstall MPKG apps. To do this it disables being able to run apps and possibly installing apps. You can check whether you are in Uninstall mode if you hold the stylus on an MPKG app in the App Mgr until the menu appears. If Delete is Active then you are in Uninstall mode.

If you are not in Uninstall mode then you have a different issue. How much space do you have left on your SD card as if it is too full then the phone will not allow you to install more. Have a look in the FAQ sticky in main A1200 forum for more details on this. The FAQ sticky also has full instruction on how to use SmartAsst.

    Thumbs up Superman WHO!

Man i finally tryed the manual eglish version of this app an this is so much better than superman.I used wordpad to install the cardreg. code to mine an copyed the SmartAssist file to my TFlash restarted an it worked perfect. This way is so much easier than reinstalling all your apps.

    SmartAssist Is The TRUTH
Superman Still a really good app

what is not working? can't install or do you have a different problem? i'd bet that when Motorola SERVICED your phone, they flashed it to a current firmware which for some reason is NOT compatible w/SmartASS....what FW are you running (also this post should probably be in the E6 Forum but i'll leave it here for a few days to see if anyone here can assist)
